Feyholt P6 Backpack

$179.00

The Feyholt P6 is a 26 litre roll-top backpack for people who ride a bike to work or spend their days outside. The outer fabric is a recycled 500 denier nylon with a polyurethane coating, and the main compartment has a welded, waterproof liner. Rolled down three times and clipped, the top keeps out a full afternoon of rain.

Because a roll-top is slow to open, the P6 has a side zip that gives direct access to the laptop sleeve without unrolling the bag. The sleeve holds a laptop up to 15 inches and is suspended from the top of the back panel, so it does not touch the bottom of the bag.

The roll-top lets the capacity change with the load. Unrolled fully, the bag holds a change of clothes and a laptop on a short trip; rolled tight, it carries a small daily kit without flopping. Compression straps on both sides pull the load in when the bag is half empty.

The harness is built for movement. The shoulder straps have a sternum strap that slides on a rail, and a removable 3 centimetre hip belt takes weight off the shoulders on longer rides. Reflective tabs on the straps and a loop for a rear light make the bag visible in traffic at night.

When the side zip is closed, the welded liner still seals the main compartment, so the laptop stays dry even if the zip itself gets wet. The base is a heavier 1000 denier fabric, which takes the wear of being set down on wet pavement every day.

The P6 measures 50 by 30 by 15 centimetres when rolled and weighs 1.1 kilograms. It comes in slate blue, rust and black, with a five-year warranty on seams, buckles and the waterproof liner.
